| Master of Philosophy (M. Phil.) in Mathematics |

The master of Philosophy in Mathematics is aimed at developing students into mature researchers and preparing them for higher research degree and teaching. The Master of Philosophy Program in Mathematics is being offered based on a credit system. The M. Phil. program has two semesters spreading through one year. The candidate has to submit the Dissertation by the end of the second semester after completion of the course work.
The Programme consists of four theory paper two each in each semester.
Semester 1: 1) General research methodology
2) Mathematical Analysis
Semester 2: Two papers from any one of the following electives:
(i) Fluid Mechanics
(ii) Graph Theory
(iii) Differential Geometry
(iv) Number Theory |
