Introduction

Department of chemistry is one of the oldest departments in Christ university situated in block I of the university. The department has sufficient infrastructural facilities in terms of well equipped laboratories with modern instruments and well furnished and spacious class rooms which can take care of 600 undergraduate students and 160 postgraduate students apart from the M.Phil and PhD students.

    Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry
    Chemistry is considered as one of the most prospective subjects for higher education. The subject is getting developed every year and has been covering almost all the major prospects of life. The research scholars who undertake this subject for the PhD course have bright future all over the world. The various topics that it covers are designed to create new knowledge which provides greater job opportunities which are challenging and rewarding in the academic as well as Industrial sector.

    Area of Research: Green Chemistry, Coordination Chemistry, Catalysis, Bio-Inorganic Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis.
