MSc Food Manufacturing Mgmt, Lille Catholic Univ, France
Christ University - ISA Engg Institute, Lille Catholic University
(Postgraduate Twinning Programme - Since 2009)
(1 semester in Christ University + 3 semesters in ISA)

Lille Catholic University was founded in 1875 with the active support of the Catholic Church and a group of Christian businessmen. Later, vocational colleges (paramedical and engineering) joined the five founding faculties (Law, Arts, Science, Medicine and Theology). Over the years, colleges and research centres were created around Lille Catholic University. They obtained associate status and decided to merge in 1973.

Lille Catholic University combines in one visible, mutually supportive, interdisciplinary structure, 6 Faculties, 20 “Ecoles” (vocational training schools and institutes), 33 research teams, a hospital complex with 700 beds, 13 libraries, 200 student associations (music, culture, sport, humanitarian associations…), 11 student residences, 4 restaurants… These institutions share the same educational philosophy based on excellence, humanist values, achievement and solidarity.

Lille Catholic University is the top private university in France, not only on account of its student population, but also, and more importantly, for its academic standard with undergraduate and postgraduate degree rogrammes in several areas.

For many years, Lille Catholic University has developed strong cooperations with top international universities. The MSc in “Sustainable Food Manufacturing Management” is one of the international courses offered at Lille Catholic University. It has been developed for 5 years at ISA engineering institute, prestigious French University College for higher education. It offers business-oriented courses that suit both the French and the international markets’ needs.

    Why study in Lille, France
The MSc in “Sustainable Food Manufacturing Management” (SF2M) focuses on the management of food productions, based on the French know-how in the fields of agriculture and food industry. France is indeed a worldrenowned country for typical French quality products such as wine or cheese, as well as for its proficiency in food and agricultural material processing techniques, food safety standards and traceability of agro-products…

France is also a major world actor in the food industry sector: it is the European leader for food production and world number 2 exporter of food products. Located in the heart of Europe, close to Belgium, Luxembourg, United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Germany, the North of France is moreover the leading French region for food exportation. The main fields of the regional food industry are the meat processing, vegetable processing and seafood processing industries, as well as sugar or beer production. The region of Lille is also the hub for international food industries and retailing leaders (Bonduelle, McCain, Roquette, Lesaffre, Carrefour, Auchan…)
